Last saturday 21st Feb 2015, after Chinese New Year I encourage myself to make Roll Cake, again. So I bought some eggs, and I started to make the batter. The Pink Roll Cake I made using the recipe from Cooking with the Dog, which I have tried before here. The Orange Roll Cake I made using the recipe from Dapur Khayangan, also I have tried before here. For whipped cream I used non dairy whipping cream from Bogasari, and I added matcha powder for flavour. Here is the picture :)

Chocolate Cake & Milk Bread Combination
This weekend I went to my cousin's house to try her new mixer and oven. She decided that we have to try this recipe, a combination of cake and bread which common for bakery shops in our home town, Bogor. So we did, and here is the result, not a disappointment I would say !!
The cake recipe and the bread recipe you can use any of your own favourite recipe, and mix together when it is ready to be baked. Done ! Wait till a bit cool, and cut & serve !!

Purple Yam Rolled Bread with Salmon Spread & Cheese Filling
This weekend, other than The Cake Bread I made, I also executed this purple kawaaii Bread. The colour come from purple yam which i steamed and mashed. Soft and Delicious. Here it is !!
Ingredients :
For TZ :
20 gram Bread Flour
100 gram Water
Mix together, heat at around 65C, Cover with Plastic Wrap, Let cool.
For Bread :
200 gram Purple Yam, Steam & Mash
205 gram Bread Flour, Sieve
100 gram Sugar (or less if you don't like the bread too sweet)
10 gram Instant Yeast
1 Egg
50 gram Butter / Margarine
1 teaspoon of salt
How To Make :
Mix together Flour, Sugar and Yeast.
Add Egg, TZ, & Mashed Purple Yam,
Mix together till smooth, then add Butter/Margarine and Salt.
Rest in a lightly greased bowl for around 45 minutes or untill double.
Divide or roll as you like, give fillings etc, and rest for another 30 minutes.
Bake in the oven for around 15 minutes or untill golden brown.
Ready to serve..

Raisin Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients :
226 gram unsalted butter (aku pakai mentega Putih)
205 gram light brown sugar (Aku pakai light brown sugar yang dari bali. Kalau pakai gula palem bubuk, mending di mix 50% dengan gula putih supaya rasanya ga aneh)
65 gram granulated white sugar (kalau ga terlalu suka manis, mending diskip aja)
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanila extract
195 gram all purpose flower (pakai segitiga biru)
5 gram baking soda
5 gram kosher salt (boleh diskip kalau ga punya)
1 gram/0.5 tsp ground cinamon
260 gram old fashioned rolled oats (aku pakai oatmeal siap masak yang warna biru)
140 gram dark / golden raisin
Steps :
1. Panaskan oven 10 menit sebelum memanggang di 180C
2. Aduk butter sampai lunak menggunakan mixer, tambahkan gula merah dan putih, aduk sampai creamy dan smooth
3. Tambahkan telur satu per satu sampai merata, sekalian dengan vanila extract
4. Di mangkuk lain, aduk rata tepung, baking soda, bubuk kayu manis dan garam
5. Masukan campuran tepung ke dalam adukan mentega, aduk dengan sendok kayu / spatula sampai merata, campurkan oatmeal dan kismis.
6. Bulatkan adonan cookies kira-kira 1 inchi, kemudian buat gepeng sehingga tinggi adonan kira-kira 1 cm, atur di loyang, beri jarak sekitar 1 inchi antara setiap adonan.
7. Panggang cookies di oven panas 180C sekitar 15 menit.. panggangan pertama dicoba dulu, panggangan kedua dan selanjutnya, ikuti hasil panggangan pertama..

Homemade Kyuri Maki : No Sushi Roller...
1 February 2015. I will remember this day for first time ever making kyuri maki by myself, without sushi roller !!
Ingredients :
Sushi rice
Kyuri / Japanese Cucumber
Nori / Japanese Seaweed
Steps :
1. Prepare rice
2. Spread rice on nori, put kyuri in the center
3. Roll, and cut
4. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi !! Yummy :D

Homemade Sponge Cake by Tammy Liao : Family Recipe, No Baking Soda No Baking Powder
31 January 2015 !! I filled this day with learning a family recipe from my beautiful cousin, Tammy Liao. She uses this recipe since she was in 4th grade in elementary school.. imagine how powerful this recipe is ! Straight to the pictures and ingredients...
Basic Ingredients :
6 eggs
200 grams of granulated white sugar
200 grams of cake flour
100 grams of margarine / butter (melted)
1/2 teaspoon of vanila crystal
4 tablespoon of Coco powder
some warm water
Steps :
1. Prepare the pan, grease with some margarine and flour.
2. Put 6 eggs in the mixing bowl, together with the sugar. Mix with low speed until it is well combined, then raise to highest speed, let it sit for 30 minutes.
3. Melt margarine / butter, let it cool, set aside. Mix coco powder with some warm water, until it become paste, and set aside.
4. Sift the cake flour on the eggs + sugar batter, mix using spatula. Use folding method. Continue with the melted margarine / butter. After well combined, this is the right time to turn on the oven. take some of the batter, mix with coco paste.
5. Pour half of the white batter into the pan, Combine with coco batter, and add the rest of the white batter. Put in the oven for 35 minutes, 180 C, And then upper heat 5 minutes for making the cake colour golden brown.
Ready !!
This one is 1 variation of the basic recipe, using Spekuk and Sucade :
